Introduction

Our client, a manufacturer of climbing equipment, entrusted us with a critical component – the Rotaing Plate – used in safety-related products. Since this component may affect user safety, material quality and reliability are of utmost importance. To ensure absolute confidence in the material and the final product, we implemented a multi-step material verification process involving both the supplier and independent testing laboratories.

Step 1: Material Procurement & Supplier Verification

The client requested 6061 T6 aluminum for the Rotaing Plate. For every new order:

  1. We request a material certificate from the supplier to verify compliance with 6061 T6 standards. (Certificate as picture on left below)
  2. Before shipment, the supplier provides a material sample, which we send to a professional testing laboratory to verify composition. (Composition test rusult as pictur on right below.)
  3. Only after the sample passes the verification do we approve production.

Step 2: In-Process Material Verification

During production, we collect scrap pieces from machining and send them to a certified laboratory for a second composition analysis. This ensures that the final parts match the required specifications without compromise.
